OneBlock v2.3.7 - Block Spawn Control Update
New Feature: Configurable Block Spawn Weights
Take full control over what spawns from your OneBlock! This update introduces a powerful new system that lets you customize the spawn rates of different block categories through the admin panel.
What's New
Admin Panel Page 5: Block Spawn Control
- Access via
/oneblock admin→ Navigate to page 5 - Adjust spawn weights for 8 different block categories
- Weight scale: 1 (very rare) to 20 (very common), default is 10 (balanced)
- Changes apply immediately—no server restart needed!
Controllable Block Categories
| Category | Examples | Default Weight |
|---|---|---|
| ** Logs** | Oak, Birch, Spruce, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry | 10 |
| ** Planks** | All plank types (including Crimson & Warped) | 10 |
| ** Common Ores** | Coal, Iron, Copper, Gold, Redstone, Lapis, Nether Quartz | 10 |
| ** Rare Ores** | Diamond, Emerald, Ancient Debris | 10 |
| ** Wool** | All 16 wool colors | 10 |
| ** Structural** | Stone, Cobblestone, Dirt, Sand, Gravel, Deepslate, etc. | 10 |
| ** Plants** | Flowers, Grass, Vines, Mushrooms, Fungus, Roots | 10 |
| ** Leaves** | All leaf types (Oak, Birch, Spruce, Jungle, etc.) | 10 |
How It Works
- Higher weight = more frequent spawns: Set logs to 20 and they'll appear ~95% of the time
- Lower weight = rare spawns: Set rare ores to 1 to make them truly scarce
- Dynamic scaling: Weights automatically adjust based on world difficulty and progression
- Biome cycling compatible: Works seamlessly with biome-specific block pools
- Persistent settings: All configurations save to your world data
Usage Examples
Resource Gathering Focus
- Common Ores: 20
- Rare Ores: 15
- Logs: 5
- Everything else: 1
- Result: Mining-focused gameplay with abundant ores
Building Materials Mode
- Logs: 20
- Planks: 20
- Structural: 15
- Everything else: 5
- Result: Perfect for creative building projects
Vanilla Balance
- All categories: 10
- Result: Default balanced distribution
Hardcore Survival
- All categories: 5-8
- Rare Ores: 1
- Result: Challenging resource scarcity
Controls
- Left Click: Decrease weight by 1 (Shift: -2)
- Right Click: Increase weight by 1 (Shift: +2)
- Reset Button: Restore all weights to default (10)
Bug Fixes
End Portal Frame Drop Fix
Fixed a critical bug where End Portal Frames were dropping at world origin (0, 0, 0) instead of at the OneBlock location. Frames now correctly spawn at the OneBlock position after reaching the requirement threshold.
