Colorful Anvils Unoffical Port

🎨 Use formatting codes in anvils to style your item names!

This is an unofficial port of Colorful Anvils by rogi27 for Minecraft 1.21.8+.

How to Use

1. Place an item in an anvil
2. Type your name with formatting codes (e.g. &c&lFire Sword)
3. Take the item - it now has colored text!

Check the gallery for examples of each formatting style!

✨ No Character Limit

Vanilla Minecraft limits anvil input to 50 characters. This mod removes that limit, so you can type long gradients, lore lines, and complex formatting without being cut off.

Formatting Codes

Code	Effect
&0–&9, &a–&f	Colors
&l	Bold
&o	Italic
&n	Underline
&m	Strikethrough
&k	Obfuscated
&r	Reset
&#RRGGBB	Hex color
&&c	Escape (shows literal &c)

Advanced

• <gradient:#ff0000:#00ff00>text</gradient> - Gradient
• <rainbow>text</rainbow> - Rainbow

Lore Support

Add lore lines using | as separator:

• &c&lFire Sword|&7Burns everything|&eDeals fire damage

The first part becomes the name, everything after | becomes lore lines. Renaming without | clears any previous lore.

Server Config

Config file at config/colorfulanvils.json toggle colors, formatting, hex, gradient, rainbow, and lore on/off. Optional permission support with fabric-permissions-api (disabled by default).

Permissions (when enabled):

• colorfulanvils.use — basic formatting
• colorfulanvils.lore — lore support
• colorfulanvils.gradient — gradient text
• colorfulanvils.rainbow — rainbow text
